A digital marketing workshop has been hosted by the Australian Government to promote the value of digital marketing in the digital world.

This week, the Digital Marketing Association (DMA) will be hosting a summit digital strategy workshop to help digital marketing professionals understand how to best implement digital marketing strategies.DMA President Dr Dan Glynn said the digital marketing event was a great opportunity for all digital marketers to come together and learn about the benefits and pitfalls of digital media.
“We think it’s important to have a common understanding of how digital is being used, and what its impact is on the world,” Dr Glynn told ABC Radio Canberra.
“There’s a lot of confusion around how digital has been applied to business in the past.”
In the digital era, the focus is shifting from traditional marketing methods, such as TV and print, to digital media, which are more tailored to the needs of businesses.
“It’s a challenge for a lot people, as digital has changed how we work and how we interact with people.”
Dr Glynn has also been invited to speak at the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (DAA) Digital Media Summit, which will take place on Wednesday.

But with digital marketing becoming more and more important for the success of digital businesses, companies need to understand their digital strategies and the types of digital tools they should use to deliver their advertising campaigns,” Dr Dann said.
Digital ad platforms like AdWords and AdSense have come a long way from their humble beginnings, but it’s still crucial that digital marketing remains a key element in the marketing plan for digital businesses.
